Core Positioning
ActiTide™ NP1 is a powerful whitening agent that targets the very initial stage of the skin-darkening process. By interfering with melanin production at its source, it delivers high-efficacy skin tone control and reduces the appearance of brown spots.
Core Mechanism of Action
1. Source Intervention: Inhibits Melanogenesis Activation Signals Blocks the binding of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) to the MC1R receptor on melanocytes.
This directly severs the “initiation signal” for melanin production, halting the subsequent synthesis process at its source.
2. Process Inhibition: Prevents Tyrosinase Activation Further inhibits the activation of tyrosinase, a key enzyme critical to melanin synthesis.
This action blocks the core process of melanogenesis to more effectively combat skin dullness and prevent the formation of brown spots.
3. Output Control: Prevents Excessive Melanin Production Through the dual mechanisms above.
It ultimately ensures precise control over the “overproduction” of melanin, preventing uneven skin tone and the worsening of hyperpigmentation.
Formulation Addition Guidelines
To preserve the ingredient’s activity and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures, it is recommended to add ActiTide™ NP1 in the final cooling phase of formulation. The system temperature should be below 40°C at the time of incorporation.
Recommended Product Applications
This ingredient is suitable for a wide range of functional cosmetic formulations, including:
1. Skin radiance & brightening products
2. Whitening / Lightening serums and creams
3. Anti-dark spot and hyperpigmentation treatments
