Application

ActiTide – CS is a crystalline solid dipeptide composed of two amino acids, β – alanine and L – histidine. Muscle and brain tissues contain high concentrations of carnosine, which was discovered along with Russian chemist Gulevitch and is a type of carnitine. Studies in the UK, South Korea, Russia, etc., have shown that carnosine has strong antioxidant capacity and is beneficial to the human body. Carnosine can remove reactive oxygen free radicals (ROS) and α – β – unsaturated aldehydes caused by excessive oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes during oxidative stress.

Carnosine is not only non – toxic but also has strong antioxidant activity, so it has attracted much attention as a new food additive and pharmaceutical reagent. Carnosine is involved in intracellular peroxidation, which can suppress not only membrane peroxidation but also related intracellular peroxidation.
As a cosmetic ingredient, carnosine is a natural antioxidant with antioxidant properties. It can eliminate reactive oxygen species (ROS) and other α – β – unsaturated aldehydes formed by excessive oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes during oxidative stress.
