It is an odorless, off-white powder which becomes water soluble upon neutralization. It is recommended to prepare an aqueous pre-mix then neutralize with a suitable base such as NaOH, KOH, Tris, AMP, Tromethamine or Triethanolamine. It is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients, and should be formulated at a pH >7 to prevent crystallization. It has an excellent photostability and safety profile.
