Application

PromaCare-TAB (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate), also known as ascorbyl tetra-2-hexyldecanoate, is a newly-developed esterified derivative of Vitamin C with highest stability among all Vitamin C derivatives. It can be absorbed transdermally and transferred into Vitamin C effectively; it can inhibit the synthesis of Melanin and remove the existing Melanin; accordingly, it activates collagen tissue directly at skin base, accelerates the production of collagen and prevents skin aging. In addition, it plays a role of anti-inflammatory agent and antioxidant.

The whitening and anti melanin absorption effect of PromaCare-TAB was 16.5 times that of common whitening agents; And the chemical properties of the product are very stable under room temperature light. It overcomes the problems of unstable chemical properties of similar whitening products under the conditions of light, heat and humidity, hard absorption of solid whitening powder and harmful effects of heavy metal whitening agents on human body.

Formulation:

PromaCare-TAB is a slight to pale yellow liquid with a faint characteristic odor. It is very soluble in ethanol, hydrocarbons, esters and vegetable oils. It is insoluble in glycerin and butylene glycol. PromaCare-TAB should be added into the oil phase at temperatures below 80ºC. It can be used in formulas with a pH range of 3 to 6. PromaCare-TAB can also be used at pH 7 in combination with chelating agents or antioxidants (guidelines are offered). Use level is 0.5% – 3%. PromaCare-TAB is approved as a quasi-drug in Korea at 2%, and in Japan at 3%.
