Application

Sunsafe-ABZ can be used for the formulation of protective hair-care, medicated skin-care and protective skin-tone preparations. It is incompatible with formaldehyde, formaldehyde donor preservatives and heavy metals (pink-orange colour with iron). A sequestering agent is recommended. Formulations with PABA and its esters develop a yellow colour. Can form complexes with aluminium above pH 7, with free aluminium resulting from the coating of some grades of microfine pigments. Sunsafe-ABZ is properly dissolved, in order to avoid the formation of crystals. To avoid the formation of complexes of Sunsafe-ABZ with metals, it is recommended to add 0.05–0.1% of disodium EDTA.
